Twins Is a Tale of Two Clay Tables

Twins Is a Tale of Two Clay Tables

Twins, by Millim Studio aka Chiara Pellicano and Edoardo Giammarioli, is the end story of two coffee tables that are similar yet different. The original thought behind the two clay pieces was to explore a quarry that’s been functioning since 1400, creating clay by hand with water. It’s about patience, and the wait, and time, and the earth. The quarry, located in Rufoli di Ogliara, Salerno, Italy, is run by the De Martino family who use the same techniques they always have – including medieval furnaces that cook with bundles of firewood. In Twins, two become like one, using Rufoli’s beautiful duo of clay and water.
